Tasting Notes

Brilliant ruby red.

A deep brooding but inviting nose of boysenberry, bramble fruit, wood smoke, red meat and coriander. In the background, there are notes of soy, balsam and tamarind.

The entry is supple and fleshy, leading to a full supple midpalate that is framed, with energy and tension, by the tannins leaving a lasting impression on the back end. Juicy, plush and smoothly textured, this Cinsault delivers much pleasure. I enjoy it slightly chilled on warmer days or at cellar temperature when the nights get cooler.

Cellar Notes

Two puncheons of 2023 Dry Creek Cinsault were purchased and blended with one barrel of Morelli Creek Pinot noir, clone 777. The blend was brought together in tank and held for six weeks before bottling on August 1st, 2025. 146 cases produced. Alcohol, 14.1%.
